Whew. It’s Monday. Again.
The day of fresh starts, alarm clocks that betray us, and group chats full of “Let’s get it!” energy that no one asked for. If you’re anything like me, Monday hits like a reminder that you said a lot of ambitious things to yourself on Sunday night while half-watching a Netflix documentary about habits.

And yet, here you are—debating whether coffee is self-care or codependency.

But here’s the thing: Mondays don’t have to be manic. They don’t have to feel like a pop quiz you forgot to study for. What if we approached the start of the week not like a sprint, but like a soft return? A quiet decision to do life a little more consciously than we did last week—even if that just means answering texts with punctuation.

Healing isn’t about being perfectly productive—
it’s about being present with yourself, even when you’re grumpy, groggy, or just genuinely over it. In today’s culture, where everyone is allegedly booked, blessed, and building an empire before noon, the real rebellion is choosing to check in with your soul before checking your email.

So before you dive headfirst into calendars, clients, or chaos, ask yourself:

  • What do I need to feel held this week?
  • What’s one thing I can let be easy?
  • Where can I unclench—physically, mentally, emotionally?

Because despite what hustle culture tells you, your worth isn’t tied to how early you get up, how fast you move, or how many unread emails you delete.

And let’s talk about the healing work, shall we?
It’s cute to say “I’m healing” until your mama triggers you with one sentence about your laundry, or your situationship ghosts you and suddenly you’re DMing your therapist like, “Hey bestie… you up?”

But that is where the real work is.
It’s not in how well you quote boundaries—it’s in how well you uphold them when your nervous system is screaming. It’s not in how many books you’ve read—it’s in how you apply the truth when you’re face to face with the same test in a new outfit.

And healing doesn’t always look like journaling under moonlight. Sometimes it looks like logging off. Sometimes it looks like not reacting. Sometimes it looks like eating leftovers and not over-explaining yourself.

So if this Monday feels heavy, weird, wobbly, or just… Monday-ish, that’s okay.
You’re not behind. You’re not failing.
You’re just a human doing your best—with a few good intentions, a few bad habits, and maybe a really good twist-out.

Come back tomorrow for Tea & Truth Tuesday—I’ve got something steeping just for you.

Until then, go easy.
Go honest.
And go drink some water, please.
