But in this season? You don’t need louder opinions—you need deeper trust.

We’ve all had those moments:
You felt something was off, but ignored it.
You knew you should’ve said no, but said yes to avoid conflict.
You saw the red flags, but painted them beige.

That’s not failure. That’s conditioning.
So many Black women were raised to be agreeable, accommodating, always “the strong one.”
But real strength? Is trusting the wisdom that lives inside you.

🧠 Intuition vs. Instinct vs. Insecurity

Let’s break it down:

  • Instinct is survival-based. It’s gut-level reaction.
  • Insecurity is fear-based. It’s rooted in trauma or doubt.
  • Intuition is soul-based. It speaks calm, steady truth. It doesn’t panic—it persists.

Learning to hear your intuition means learning to pause before reacting and breathe before deciding. It’s not mystical—it’s a muscle. The more you use it, the clearer it gets.

🌱 Cultivating Discernment in Daily Life

  1. Practice quiet daily – even 5 minutes of silence builds awareness.
  2. Write down first impressions before you’re influenced by others.
  3. Ask your body – What happens when I’m around this person? Tense? Light? Foggy? Energized?

Discernment isn’t judgment. It’s clarity. It’s how you protect your peace without explaining why.
