Chiiiile… let’s be honest — storms are exhausting. There are days when you wake up and can’t even see a glimpse of light. The bills are piling up, relationships feel strained, your body is tired, and your faith feels like it’s running on fumes. And it’s in those moments where you start asking yourself, “How much longer can I do this?” But here’s today’s truth: when you can’t see the sun, you better learn to trust the Son. Because the same God who carried you through every storm before will not leave you stranded in this one.

See, faith is easy when the skies are clear. Faith is shouting and dancing when everything is going your way. But real faith? It’s showing up when you don’t feel like it. It’s praying through tears when nothing makes sense. It’s choosing to believe that God’s hand is still on you, even when you can’t feel Him in the chaos. That’s why storms are so transformative — they strip away the illusions of control and force us to decide whether we’re going to keep leaning on our own strength, or finally surrender to His.

And let’s sip this tea: you don’t have to fake strength. Faith doesn’t mean pretending you’re okay when you’re not. It doesn’t mean plastering on a smile while your world is falling apart. Faith means saying, “Lord, I don’t have it in me today, but I trust You to carry me through.” It’s about recognizing that your feelings are real, but they don’t get the final say. The storm may rage, but the Son is still in command of the seas.

So, if you’re in the thick of it right now, let me remind you: storms end. Clouds move. Rain stops. But the lessons you gain and the strength you build while walking through them? That lasts forever. Don’t waste your storm by only focusing on the pain. Ask God to show you the purpose. Because even when you can’t see the sun, His Son has already promised you victory.

✍🏾 Journal Prompt:

  • Where in my life right now do I feel overwhelmed by the storm?
  • What does it look like for me to surrender control and trust God fully?
  • How has God carried me through storms in the past?

💛 Affirmation:

Even when I can’t see the sun, I trust the Son.
My faith is stronger than my feelings.
God is with me, and He is carrying me through this storm.

🙏🏾 Prayer:

Father, thank You for being present even when I can’t see the light. In the moments when I feel overwhelmed and tired, remind me that You are my strength and my shelter. Teach me to trust You, even when the path is unclear. Carry me when I cannot walk on my own, and give me peace in the middle of the storm. In Jesus’ name, amen.
