Chiiiile… let me tell you something: the storm might still be raging, but that doesn’t mean you have to sit in the corner, paralyzed, waiting for it to end. At some point, you’ve got to decide — even if the clouds don’t clear today, I can still find joy right here, right now. Dancing in the rain isn’t about denying that it’s wet, windy, or messy. It’s about refusing to let the storm steal what God already gave you: peace, purpose, and the ability to endure.
Here’s the thing — resilience doesn’t mean you don’t feel tired. It doesn’t mean you never cry or question. Resilience means you cry, but you wipe your face and keep moving. You question, but you don’t give up. You stumble, but you don’t stay down. Resilience is the spiritual muscle that says, “Storm, you might knock me around, but you will not knock me out.” And joy? Joy is your reminder that even when everything else is shaky, your spirit doesn’t have to be.
Now, let’s sip this truth tea: joy and resilience are choices. You don’t wake up with them every morning; you decide to walk in them. That means choosing to laugh even when life feels heavy. That means choosing to celebrate small wins while you’re still waiting on the big breakthrough. That means choosing to keep praying, keep fasting, keep meditating — not because the storm ended, but because you know who holds the storm in His hands. That’s not denial, that’s faith in action.
Sis, storms will come and storms will go, but the one constant is this — you are stronger than you think, and God is more faithful than you imagine. When you look back, you’ll see that the very storm you thought would destroy you was the same one that prepared you. And when you decide to dance in the rain, you’re not just surviving — you’re thriving. Because joy and resilience are not the absence of storms. They’re the evidence that you’re unshakable in spite of them.
✍🏾 Journal Prompt:
- How do I currently show resilience when life gets hard?
- What brings me joy, even in small ways, during difficult times?
- How can I choose joy and resilience daily, no matter what the storm looks like?
💛 Affirmation:
I am resilient.
The storm will not steal my joy or my peace.
I choose to dance in the rain, knowing I am stronger, wiser, and anchored in God’s love.
🙏🏾 Prayer:
Father, thank You for giving me resilience and joy even in the middle of my storms. Remind me daily that my strength is in You and that my joy is not dependent on my circumstances. Help me to see the beauty in the rain and to trust that every storm is shaping me for greater purpose. Let my resilience be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may my joy shine as evidence of Your presence in my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
