Chiiiile… can we be real for a second? One of the hardest things God will ever ask you to do is move without the map. To step out before you see the full picture. To walk when you don’t know where your feet are gonna land. And if we’re honest, that’s scary. Most of us are control freaks in disguise — we want the five-step plan, the confirmation email, the guarantee that everything’s gonna work out before we take the first step. But God? He doesn’t work like that.

When God calls you to greater, He doesn’t always give you the details — He gives you a direction. He told Abraham, “Go to the land I will show you.” Not, “Here’s the GPS, here’s the itinerary, here’s the Airbnb link.” Just — go. And that’s the beauty of it. Greater isn’t about knowing every turn; it’s about trusting the One who does. It’s about saying, “I don’t see the whole staircase, but I trust the One building it.”

Now here’s the Tea & Truth part: some of us stay stuck in storms or in small places because we’re waiting for God to hand us the full blueprint. But if you already had every detail, where would faith even fit? God doesn’t need you to know how. He just needs you to know Him. If you trust His character, you don’t need all the answers to keep moving forward.

So today I want you to hear this: your greater is not waiting for you to understand it — it’s waiting for you to trust Him with it. Step forward, even if your knees are shaking. Walk in obedience, even if your heart is racing. Because the unknown is only unknown to you. To God? It’s already finished.

✍🏾 Journal Prompt:

  • Where in my life am I waiting on clarity when God has already asked me to move?
  • What fears keep me from stepping into the unknown?
  • How can I remind myself to trust God’s character even when I can’t see the plan?

💛 Affirmation:

I trust God even in the unknown.
I do not need to see the full picture to take the first step.
My future is secure because it’s in His hands.

🙏🏾 Prayer:

Father, thank You for being the God who knows the beginning and the end. I confess that sometimes I let fear of the unknown hold me back, but today I choose to trust You. Even when I can’t see the whole plan, I know You’ve already worked it out for my good. Give me the courage to step forward in faith, and the confidence to believe that where You’re leading me is greater than where I’ve been. In Jesus’ name, amen.
