Chiiiile… waiting is a word we love to hate. Let’s be real — nobody enjoys being in that in-between space. It’s uncomfortable. It’s frustrating. You know what you want, and yet… it feels like everything is moving in slow motion. You’re stuck in the waiting room of your own life, wondering when it’s finally your turn. But here’s the tea, sis: waiting isn’t a punishment. It’s preparation.
Now, I know that sounds cute, but hear me out. Waiting isn’t just about twiddling your thumbs until God decides to answer your prayers. No ma’am. Waiting is about becoming the person who can handle what you’ve been asking for. You’ve been praying for the breakthrough, the blessing, the new season — but have you been preparing yourself to sustain it? Waiting is the soil where God plants your growth. It’s where He strengthens your faith, refines your character, and builds your capacity to steward the greater He’s calling you to.
But let’s not sugarcoat it — waiting is heavy. You’re watching everybody else move ahead, get the promotion, start their businesses, get their marriages, have their babies — and you feel like you’re stuck, or maybe even being overlooked. But here’s the truth: God’s timing is perfect. What you see as delay is actually divine preparation. The fact that you’re still waiting means you haven’t missed your moment. It means God is working behind the scenes to align everything for the right time.
In the waiting, you’re learning patience, but you’re also learning trust. Trust that God knows exactly where He’s taking you. Trust that His plan is bigger than your timing. Trust that while you’re waiting, He’s working in ways you can’t yet see. So stop looking at the pause as a waste of time, and start looking at it as the most important season of your life. God doesn’t waste a thing, and neither should you.
