Chiiiile… let’s talk about it. Waiting on God can make prayer feel heavy sometimes. You pray and pray, but it feels like the words are bouncing off the ceiling. You pour your heart out, and the situation still hasn’t changed. And after a while, you start asking yourself, “God, are You even hearing me?” Sis, let me tell you — He hears you. He sees you. And just because you don’t see movement doesn’t mean He isn’t working behind the scenes.

Here’s the truth: prayer in the waiting isn’t just about asking — it’s about aligning. It’s not only about telling God what you want, but about letting Him shape your heart while you wait. Sometimes the silence you feel is actually God giving you space to grow in trust, to learn patience, and to see that His will is bigger than your wish list. He’s not ignoring you — He’s preparing you.

But let’s keep it real — prayer in the waiting can feel like spiritual warfare. Doubt creeps in. Frustration bubbles up. You start comparing your life to others and wondering why their prayers seem answered faster. That’s when you’ve got to pray anyway. Prayer in waiting isn’t about fancy words or long speeches; it’s about consistency. It’s about showing up daily and saying, “Lord, I still trust You. Even if I don’t see it yet, I know You’re still faithful.”

So today, I want you to shift how you see prayer. Stop thinking of it as a transaction and start seeing it as a conversation. God is not a vending machine for your requests; He’s a Father shaping your character, your faith, and your future. Praying while you wait doesn’t just change your situation — it changes you.

✍🏾 Journal Prompt:

  • How do I currently feel about my prayer life in this waiting season?
  • What emotions do I need to bring honestly before God in prayer?
  • How can I build consistency in prayer even when I don’t see immediate results?

💛 Affirmation:

My prayers are not wasted.
God hears me, loves me, and is working even in the silence.
I choose to stay connected to Him while I wait.

🙏🏾 Prayer:

Father, thank You for hearing me even when I feel like I’m praying into silence. Help me to remember that every word I pray reaches You and that You are always working on my behalf. Teach me to align my prayers with Your will and to find peace in Your timing. Strengthen my faith to keep showing up in prayer, even when I don’t see change yet. Let this waiting season deepen my relationship with You, not weaken it. In Jesus’ name, amen.
