Chiiiile… let’s be real: some of us treat waiting on God like sitting in the DMV. Just sitting there scrolling, twiddling our thumbs, sighing loud, and hoping our number gets called soon. But that’s not what waiting looks like in the Kingdom. Waiting is not about doing nothing — it’s about doing the right things while trusting God’s timing. Waiting well means preparing yourself for what you prayed for so that when it comes, you’re not scrambling to get ready.

Think about it: you can pray for financial breakthrough, but are you working on your stewardship? You can pray for marriage, but are you working on your healing and wholeness? You can pray for that dream career, but are you sharpening your skills? Faith without works is dead, sis. God doesn’t just want you to sit still and pout while you wait. He wants you to build, grow, and prepare so that when the blessing shows up, you can sustain it.

Here’s the Tea & Truth: some of us are asking God for harvest when we haven’t even planted seeds. You can’t pray for a business while never learning how to manage money or lead people. You can’t ask God for peace while feeding yourself chaos every day. God doesn’t bless empty effort — He blesses faithful action. Waiting is your time to work the soil, to get disciplined, to prune your habits, and to set yourself up for greater.

And let me tell you this: working while you wait isn’t about rushing the process or trying to force God’s hand. It’s about alignment. It’s about showing Him, “Lord, I’m ready for whatever You bring because I’m already stewarding what I have.” That kind of faith in action doesn’t just prepare you for the blessing — it proves you can sustain it. So don’t waste the waiting room scrolling through life. Pick up the tools God gave you, and get to work while you trust His timing.

✍🏾 Journal Prompt:

  • What am I waiting on God for right now?
  • How can I actively prepare myself for the blessing while I wait?
  • What seeds can I start planting today that align with my prayers?

💛 Affirmation:

My waiting is not idle.
I trust God’s timing while I put faith into action.
I am planting seeds, preparing my spirit, and working the soil for my greater harvest.

🙏🏾 Prayer:

Father, thank You for reminding me that waiting is not wasted time. Show me how to be faithful in action while I wait for Your timing. Teach me to steward what I have now with excellence and discipline. Give me wisdom to plant seeds today that will prepare me for tomorrow’s harvest. Let my waiting season be filled with growth, work, and purpose so that when the blessing comes, I am ready to carry it well. In Jesus’ name, amen.
