Chiiiile… let’s keep it real: success ain’t just gonna fall out the sky and land in your lap. You can pray for it, you can manifest it, you can talk about it — but until you start being intentional, it’s not coming together. Success is not an accident. It’s a system. It’s the small choices you make every single day that stack up to create the life you’ve been praying for.

Here’s the tea: a Harvard Business study found that 84% of people have no goals at all. Out of the 16% who do, only 3% write them down — and guess what? Those 3% earn 10x more than everybody else combined. Let that sink in. Writing your goals down seems so simple, but it’s a marker of intention. It’s the difference between hoping for change and committing to it.

Sis, how many times have you said, “I want more,” but you didn’t actually define what “more” looks like? You can’t hit a target you can’t see. You can’t pray vague and live vague and then expect precise results. Success is intentional. That means putting words to your vision, writing it down, and giving it a framework. The SMART goals method (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) isn’t just a corporate buzzword — it’s a strategy to move from dreaming to doing.

But here’s where the compassion comes in — don’t think intentionality means perfection. You’re gonna stumble. You might miss deadlines. Life will life, and things won’t always go as planned. But being intentional is about creating a system you can return to when you fall off track. Success is not a one-time event; it’s a lifestyle. So this week, I want you to start thinking about what you’ve been praying for — and ask yourself if your actions are actually preparing you for it.

✍🏾 Journal Prompt:

  • What does “success” mean to me personally (not society’s definition)?
  • What is one specific goal I need to write down and commit to this week?
  • How can I create a small system that supports my daily intentionality?

💛 Affirmation:

Success is not an accident.
I move with intention, clarity, and purpose.
My actions align with the vision I’ve prayed for.

🙏🏾 Prayer:

Father, thank You for reminding me that my success is not random. Help me to be intentional in my thoughts, actions, and habits. Give me the clarity to define my goals, the discipline to pursue them, and the faith to trust Your timing in it all. Teach me to align my vision with Your will and to build systems that keep me moving forward. I know You’ve called me to greater, and I am ready to steward it well. In Jesus’ name, amen.

With love, truth, and the kind of grace that doesn’t sugarcoat,
