Chiiiile… let’s have a grown woman conversation real quick.
Setting goals is powerful. Writing the vision, planning the steps, dreaming big — that’s sacred work. But sometimes we hold on to the original plan so tightly, we ignore the fact that the assignment shifted.

Listen. Pivoting isn’t quitting. It’s listening.
It’s you recognizing that what worked in one season may not fit the next. It’s you paying attention to the redirections that are meant to protect your peace. But somewhere along the way, we were taught that if the path changes, we failed. That if we reroute, we gave up. That if it looks different than what we imagined, it doesn’t count.

Lies. All lies.

You can still be aligned and have to adjust. You can still be purposed and not want the same things you once did. You can set a goal — and then realize God is calling you in another direction. And that’s not failure. That’s faith in motion.

See, the beauty of growth is that it reveals what no longer fits. And when you grow, you outgrow. You start recognizing when the grind becomes noise, when the goal becomes a cage, or when the thing you wanted isn’t the thing you needanymore.

You’ve got to stop bullying yourself into finishing things that no longer serve your vision.
You’ve got to stop making yourself feel small for evolving.
It is not weak to shift.
It is not flaky to follow God’s pace over your plan.

Pivoting takes guts. It takes clarity. It takes surrender. Because sometimes your greatest breakthrough won’t come from pushing harder — but from letting go, reassessing, and allowing room for something better to bloom.

So if you’re in a season where things feel unclear… breathe.
You’re not lost. You’re being led.
Just because it’s different doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
And just because it’s not the original plan doesn’t mean it’s not still God.

✍🏾 Journal Prompt

  • What goals am I holding onto out of guilt, fear, or ego?
  • Where in my life am I being invited to pivot — and how can I honor that shift with grace?
  • How do I define success outside of productivity or pressure?

💛 Affirmation

I give myself permission to evolve.
I honor every shift, knowing each pivot is preparing me for greater purpose.
I trust the divine redirection of my life.
I release guilt, embrace growth, and walk boldly in my next chapter.

🙏🏾 Prayer

God, thank You for the courage to change.
Help me release the fear of letting go, and strengthen me to follow where You lead — even when it looks unfamiliar.
Show me how to pivot with purpose, and not shame.
Let me walk with wisdom, knowing that Your plans are greater than mine.
And let me trust that even in the pivot, I’m still on path.
Amen.
